How do I join my family together on the Disneyland app?

Hey there, Rebecca! We appreciate you dropping by planDisney with your planning question!

Linking up a family or party at Disneyland Resort through the Disneyland app isn't quite like the My Disney Experience app at Walt Disney World. We do not have a linking option to add other people to a Friends & Family list, although I am hoping that this will be an option down the line for Disneyland Resort.

The only option to "link" other people to your account is to add their tickets to your account. To do this, download and log in to the Disneyland app. From there you will click on the three lines on the bottom right corner of the app and then click on "Ticket and Passes". Here you can add the rest of your family's tickets to your account.

I will note that it is okay to have tickets on more than one account. So if your family has their tickets already on another account, you can still add their tickets to your account as well. This may be helpful if you want to take the lead of your party and handle things like making everyone's theme park ticket reservations or scanning everyone into the park. Otherwise, it really only is beneficial if you will be using Disney Genie+ service. If you are, this does make the process of choosing the next Lightning Lane a lot easier since you will be able to select every ticket that is added to your account that has Disney Genie+. Otherwise, you would need to coordinate and try to get the same return time from multiple accounts and tickets at the same time, which is definitely doable but can be more difficult.

I would recommend if you are linking Guests' tickets from multiple families, that they also create their own accounts with their tickets linked to those. This will be beneficial for certain things like placing mobile orders for snacks or food for their own family. Speaking of food, don't miss the Foodie Guide that was just released recently to celebrate the return of the nighttime spectaculars!

Rebecca, thanks again for stopping by! Be sure to drop by again if you have any other questions about your visit. See you real soon!
