Hi Michelle and welcome home! I’m glad to hear that you are interested in joining the
Disney Vacation Club. DVC has been a welcome addition to my family and has given us the opportunity to stay at many DVC resorts across Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and even
Aulani, A Disney Resort and Spa! In addition, we’ve brought extended family such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces to make countless memories and celebrate many milestones, such as anniversaries, babymoons, and first birthdays.
The
price of membership varies depending on the home resort you select and the amount of points you plan to purchase. Because each family is unique and different both in size and travel preferences, I recommend visiting the
Discovery Portal on the DVC website to learn more about membership basics. In addition, the portal contains an interactive tool that recommends a total number of initial DVC points based on your preferences.
Currently, the minimum number of points needed to join DVC is 100. To be eligible for
Membership Extras, such as access to member lounges, select food and merchandise discounts, and special events such as
Moonlight Magic events (private events exclusive to DVC members at the theme parks) or DVC member cruises, you must have a minimum of 150 points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, LLC.
If you’re interested in joining, I suggest reaching out to
DVC Cast Members. They can provide additional information, such as payment and financing options, and can get any necessary paperwork started. If you have an upcoming stay at Walt Disney World or Disneyland, I also suggest visiting one of the many DVC kiosks at the theme parks and resorts to receive additional information or
even schedule a tour of a DVC villa for the home resorts available for purchase.
Michelle, I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and my friends here at
planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
