Hi Joel, Are all the handicap accessible rooms with a roll in shower at the CBR on the first floor? Husband cannot climb stairs and we would like to stay at CBR. Thanks for the help in planning our trip.

Hi, Mary, from the Motherland: Wisconsin!! (insert obligatory "Go Bucks, Packers, etc." cheer here: _____.)

I didn't have any personal experience with the designated handicap accessible rooms at Caribbean Beach. The room I last stayed in was a Nemo room on ground level in Aruba. The bathroom's size was more "Marlin" than "Bruce."

I called Caribbean Beach directly (407-934-3400) to learn more about their rooms. The room layouts vary from building to building, and the cast members are dedicated to helping make your requests a reality. The best way to have a request for a certain room type, such as one on the ground level with a roll-in shower, is to note your preference when you make your reservation. You can even note the request after you make a reservation. Just call 407-934-7639.

After stating your preference on your reservation, call the Caribbean Beach Resort 48 hours prior to arrival to follow-up your initial request.

Our collective group of panelists also provided some helpful information when I reached out to them. Here's what two of our experts had to say:

Heather's family stayed in rooms on the first floor to accommodate a family member in a wheelchair. They were relocated there in order to have a roll-in shower.

Erin stayed in a handicapped room at one of the All Stars in December and it had a large roll-in shower. The room was on the second floor with elevators to make the ascend.
