Hi Joel! Have you ever done the Safari Celebration dinner (for groups of 8 or more)? We have 1 day @ Animal Kingdom & that dinner takes 3-4 hours- wondering if it's worth the time? Or should we just stick w/ the many trails, rides, and shows instead

Hey, Kim! I was wondering where you've been? Did you come out of hibernation when our Wisconsin temperatures exceeded 40 degrees? Me too.

I haven't done the Safari Celebration dinner. I like the concept - end the day with a Kilimanjaro Safaris ride and enjoy dinner at Tusker House with character photo ops. Since Animal Kingdom is a park that typically closes early, this could be a viable option for extending your day at the park.

The biggest drawback - in my opinion - is the price, which trumps even Signature Dining prices. For that money, I'd say start the day with an advance dining reservation at Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House (before the park opens) and then grab an early dinner at Yak & Yeti (after the parade.) Or, just do one and pocket the money you saved.
