Hi Jodi! I read that you've stayed at AKL. DH and I are trying to decide which resort would be best for our DD, age 4. We've narrowed it down to AKL and CBR. I've heard negatives about bus transportation at both. Which do you recommend? Thanks so much!

Hi Carmen - I have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, with my 2 year old and my 4 year old.  I'd highly recommend it.  Although I haven't stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort with my children, I have been there.  It's a nice resort, but I think Animal Kingdom Lodge is much nicer.

Besides the animals (which can be seen throughout the resort), the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unique.  I absolutely love the restaurants Boma and Jiko, and the pool area is really wonderful also.

As for the buses, I never had a problem.  Although the resort is a little remote, we found that it was easy to get to all of the parks, and the buses were rarely crowded.

My daughter absolutely loved stayed there - she really enjoyed being in such close proximity with all of the animals!

    Have a great vacation!
