Hi Jodi, love the panel!! We are staying at Liki Tiki (5.23-30) & not @ any WDW resorts so cant get a dining plan (true?) want to know best options for meals. maybe 1 character meal at MK or HS have a 6yr boy n 2yr girl. budget is a bit low. Thx a mill

Hi Bela - You are correct, the Disney Dining Plan is only available to guests staying on property.

Depending on what characters your children enjoy, I can recommend a couple of character meals.  First of all, at the Magic Kingdom, we love the Crystal Palace with Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet.  The venue is beautiful, and the buffet is really good.

At Hollywood Studios, I'd suggest the Play and Dine at the Hollywood and Vine.  If your kids like watching Playhouse Disney, they'll especially enjoy this character experience!

To save money, for your other meals, I'd suggest sharing counter service meals.  Some of them, especially the Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom and Cantina de San Angel in Epcot have really large portions.  In addition, the turkey legs, which can be found in several locations, can be a great deal!

    Have a great vacation!
