Hi Jo. We're staying at CS in Sept for 14 nts, including labor day. Will the crowds be bad on labor day, or the whole weekend, or both weeks either side? Would labor day and weekend be the best time to spend off site? We'll want to go shopping @ some point

    Hi Immy,

I think you may have chosen the wrong panellist to ask this question, I even had to look up exactly when Labor day was this year!!!!

So I asked my American Mom friends and their advice was that yes Labor weekend (Labor day is September 7th this year) will be crowded. Lots of schools will be back in session before Labor day so many families will probably take advantage of the 3 day weekend, but you'll be pleased to know that the rest of that week should be pretty light crowd wise. It still won't be anywhere near Spring Break or Christmas crowds though so that's good news.

My advice would be the same as a normal day, get to the parks early, make good use of the fast pass system and if it gets too crowded go back to your resort for a swim. This would also be a good time to dine at the resorts, you could book a table at one of the monorail hotels and still view the Magic Kingdom fireworks but without the crowds.

Unfortunately I can't really advise about the shopping, I would think that the shops would be more crowded like it gets here in the UK on a bank holiday weekend, so I personally would avoid them!

    Have a fantastic trip,
