Jill thank you for answering my question about a taxi..We are eating at Cape May with Minnie and the gang :)) one more ? Do you know about how much it is going to cost from the music resort to cape may, and do i need a car seat? Thanx so much 4 ur help

    Welcome back Julie!

I love it when guests return to the Moms Panel with follow-up questions.  I'd be happy to assist you!

Cabs can be a bit expensive in Orlando.  However, Disney's All-Star Music Resort is not that terribly far from the Cape May Cafe in Disney's Beach Club Resort.  I would say that $15-20 should cover your fare and tip to get there.  Remember, of course, to check at the Guest Services Desk at your home resort the day before your early breakfast reservation.  Disney resorts often have complimentary transportation available to early breakfast reservations.  The Cast Members at Guest Services will let you know what is available and where you can find your ride if you select this transportation option.  Personally, I prefer the direct cab ride early in the morning, but complimentary Disney transportation is worth considering if it works into your family's schedule.

As for car seats, Florida motor vehicle law mandates that children three and under be in a child safety seat.  You can check out the details of this law at www.dmvflorida.org/seat-belt-laws.shtml.  Many cabs will have safety seats available, but if you want to be sure they have an appropriate seat available for you then you can call a taxi service like Mears Transportation (mearstransportation.com) and arrange for your pick-up in advance.  Let them know you'll be needing a car seat and they will provide one.  Booking in advance also has the advantage of being able to agree upon a fare before your taxi arrives.

Wishing you and your family the best Walt Disney World vacation ever!
