    Hi Jill. I noticed that your fave resort is WL. My family will be staying there for the first time this Summer. Do you have any pointers, tips, suggestions to make our stay even more magical? Thanks!

    Well, Desiree, it appears you have picked up my not-so-subtle clues about my favorite resort!  Thanks so much for your question.  While all of the Walt Disney World resorts are special in their own way, the beauty and theming of Disney's Wilderness Lodge make it a standout.  I'm ECSTATIC that you and your family will have the chance to experience it firsthand this summer! 

    There are so many things I want to recommend you experience while staying at the Lodge!  Here are a few to get you started:

    1.  When you check in to the Lodge, ask if your family could be the "Flag Family" for one day during your stay.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to accompany one of the Cast Members at the resort as he or she raises the flags atop the Lodge for the day.  You wouldn't believe the views from the roof!

    2.  Take the Wonders of the Lodge Tour during your vacation.  This free tour will point out so many of the amazing architectural details of this magical place.  Ask about this at Guest Services.

    3.  Rent bikes from Teton Boat & Bike Rental and follow the lovely sylvan path over to Fort Wilderness for a fun adventure.  You might also consider booking the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure which allows guests 16 and older to ride Segways between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge. 

    4.  Participate in the dance parties and rubber duck races held at Silver Creek Springs Pool in the afternoon.

    5.  Listen for the crickets on property while you watch the Electrical Water Pageant as it glides across Bay Lake in front of the Lodge at 9:35 pm daily.

    This is only a preliminary list, Desiree!  There's so much magic to explore at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Wishing you and your family a magical visit to my very favorite resort in the whole world!
