    Hi Jill, my GG Safari dinner is on 12/11 (SUN). i believe it begins at 430 and the dinner is to follow. how late are the buses running that evening? need to know if they will be there to take us back to hotel so we can avoid driving multiple cars

    Hi Melissa,

    Thanks for the additional information you provided in your follow-up question. 

    I called the friendly Cast Members at the Grand Gatherings office this afternoon to get a definitive answer to your question.  Your safari (which begins at 4:30 pm) and the dinner that follows will likely conclude by 7 pm.  Disney's Animal Kingdom closes at 6:00 pm that evening and buses will continue to run back to the Disney resorts 90 minutes after park closing time.  Therefore, you should have no concern about catching a bus after your Grand Gatherings event.  Even if your dinner were to run a bit later than normal, the Cast Members at the event will call ahead to the transportation coordinators to let them know there are still guests in the park who need a ride.  So feel free to leave your cars behind and allow Disney's complimentary transportation system to get you safely back to your home resort.
