Hi! Is Jiko kid friendly? I want to book one signature dining experience and have already booked Narcoossee's but have read good things about Jiko. We have the deluxe dining so I may even have enough credits to do both!

    Hello, Jessica,

My first thoughts if you are able to book both Jiko - The Cooking Place and Narcoossee's, it would be a lovely experience for your family to get to enjoy both restaurants. Both are wonderfully family-friendly and filled with so many delicious options.

Narcoossee's has beautiful views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, and you can enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the restaurant. Its specializes in seafood and serves it well.

Jiko - The Cooking Place offers African/Indian/Mediterranean cuisine, a true experience for the palate.  I'm partial to this restaurant because there isn't anything like it where I live. Narcossee's is delicious, but I can easily get seafood and steak at many local restaurants. If your children aren't adventurous with food, the kids menu does offer traditional choices like cheese pizza, steak, macaroni and cheese. However, they could still have a chance to sample some unique cuisines if you order appetizers to share or they try a bite of your dinner.

If you'd like to read more about both of them, www.disneyfoodblog.com is a helpful Disney dining resource. Whatever you decide upon, they are both great restaurants.  I don't think you'll have any regrets!

Happy dining!  If you have any further questions, please let us know.  -Kara
