Hiya Jessica,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your dining question! Jiko – The Cooking Place is truly one of my husband’s and my absolute favorite spots in all of Disney World. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is so warm and inviting, and last time we visited, we learned that Jiko is home to the largest collection of South African wines outside of South Africa. Talk about a hidden gem that’s worthy of a royal feast!
Now, let’s dive right into your question.
Jiko does require two Table-Service meal entitlements per Guest when using the
Disney Dining Plan. Just as a reminder, your plan’s total number of meals and snacks is based on the number of nights included in your package stay. The great news is that you can redeem your meals and snacks at any time during your stay, until you’ve used up your total balance. Do keep in mind that any unused meals, snacks, or the use of your refillable mug will expire at the stroke of midnight on your checkout date—just like Cinderella’s coach turning back into a pumpkin!
Here’s another magical tip: when searching for dining reservations in your
My Disney Experience app, you can filter to show which restaurants accept the Disney Dining Plan (including Quick-Service options). It’s like waving a magic wand to help make planning easier!
Jessica, I hope this helps make your dining adventure even more enchanting. If you have any other questions, feel free to stop by and see us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
