Hi Angela!
Happy to have you here at the planDisney Clubhouse for the first time! Sounds like you know already that having great Mouseketools is vital when traveling with little Mouseketeers to the Most Magical Place on Earth. So it’s an excellent idea to make sure any strollers from home are all clear under the
current Walt Disney World rules.
Don’t be mad at me for saying this, but wagons and stroller wagons of any kind are not allowed in the Walt Disney World theme parks or water parks. The reasoning for
this rule is to keep pathways clear of congestion and to improve overall traffic flow in the theme parks. This is an even higher priority now that Guests are asked to pay attention to
social distancing, so it just makes sense to limit the dimensions of strollers and to exclude the category of wagons/stroller wagons altogether. Instead, plan on
renting a single or double stroller, which are available at all the theme parks and
Disney Springs.
Speaking of strollers, one of my all-time magical memories from the Magic Kingdom was when my 1-year-old son (who is now 16) was sound asleep in a double stroller. We put a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal beside him and it was bigger than he was! Incidentally, my son is now over 6 feet tall!
To get all the pointers on how to navigate the parks with little kiddos, this
Planning Guide for Preschoolers and Little Ones is a super resource for getting the most out of your vacation with kids in tow. My last tip: do your homework and watch the videos in our planDisney
Video Library; it will give you a headstart on planning tips and might even spark your kids’ curiosity and enthusiasm about the vacation.
STROLL back to planDisney if you’d like more assistance on that vacation planning. My fellow panelists and myself love sharing all the tidbits we’ve learned on our many Disney trips...it's how we ROLL! Wishing you a wonderful vacation!
