Hi Genevieve! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple is an all new, reimagined experience that invites “young Padawans” onto the stage to defeat the Dark Side. We were able to experience the new show and it really was a lot of fun.
If your son really wants to do this there are a couple of things that you should know. First is this is a VERY popular attraction and it does tend to fill up very quickly. Sign-ups are on a first come first serve basis. Sign-Ups for Jedi Training begin as soon as the Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens for the day, this includes Extra Magic Hour mornings. If your son wants to become a Jedi I highly suggest that you arrive before park opening and go directly to the sign up location.
Sign-ups take place at the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. Please note that this location is subject to change without notice, so if you are in doubt as the nearest Cast Member to point you in the right direction. In order to sign up your child, he will have to be with you. There are Cast Members on hand and they will ask your son a couple of simple questions to make sure that they follow the instructions to keep everyone participating safe. Your son must be between the ages of 4 and 12 to participate. If your son is not with you, he will not be eligible to sign up. There are multiple shows throughout the day so be sure to check you’re “My Disney Experience” App or the Times Guides. If you have a dining reservation be sure to let the Cast Member signing you up know. I have found them to be very helpful in selecting a show time for us to participate in that works for our family based on availability.
I hope that I have helped to answer your question. I love helping guests just like you!
