Hi there Kaitlyn, thanks for popping by planDisney!
Every time that I make the journey over to
Tokyo Disney Resort, I marvel at the variety of unique popcorn bucket designs exclusive to
Tokyo Disneyland and
Tokyo DisneySea that really stand out amongst the ones we've got over here at Walt Disney World Resort. However when it comes to bringing these along for your adventures here in Florida, there are a few key things to keep in mind:
- There is currently no restriction that prohibits guests from bringing along their favorite popcorn buckets that they've previously purchased, and you see a lot of folks using these like a bag or an extra accessory to go with their outfits - or even just a way to proudly flaunt their popcorn-loving fashion!
- According to one of the friendly popcorn-selling Cast Members, they confirmed that officially - a popcorn bucket must be purchased during their current visit in order to be eligible for a Popcorn Bucket Refill at the lower price. Though they may sometimes be empowered by their leadership in making a little extra magic for guests, this cannot be guaranteed and policies may always be subject to change without prior notice so unfortunately an older or previously-purchased popcorn bucket may not be accepted for a discounted refill (especially if they can tell that it's clearly not a design currently available to purchase across Walt Disney World Resort).
- What's also possible is purchasing Popcorn on your own at the regular price and filling your bucket yourself with it as long as you're ok with not necessarily receiving any discounted refill rates. While the multitude of flavors and seasonings definitely have us beat over in Japan (I definitely often dream of those Curry and Garlic Shrimp varieties), we at least have delicious Maple Popcorn to shake things up a little bit over at the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT!
With Fantasy Springs and the promise of a new Roast Beef popcorn flavor coming soon to Tokyo DisneySea, we can only hope for a day when we can enjoy these culinary combinations here at Walt Disney World Resort. In the meantime, come back to planDisney again soon for any other answers or advice ahead of your next Disney adventure and stay tuned to
