We are going in January of 2013. There will be 9 - 13 of us. Are there any activities geared for a group of this size? Ages range from 4 - 65. Thank you

    Hi Linda!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

You should consider the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.  It is a lot of fun for a large group and for guests of all ages.  It starts off at the Contemporary Resort and then you go out on the water to watch the Magic Kingdom Wishes fireworks show.

You could also consider an Illuminations Fireworks cruise and just renting a boat on Bay Lake or the Seven Seas Lagoon during the day, but you would have to split up or take a smaller group.  You could also look at doing a private event, such as an Illuminations Dessert Party; however, your group is probably not large enough to make it cost effective.

Be sure to make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) as soon as possible.  With a group that large, it is best to call the individual restaurants directly.  You could also work with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  He or she is a travel agent that specializes in vacations to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, with Adventures by Disney, and with Disney Cruise Line.  You should ask for one that has a lot of experience working with large groups.

I generally suggest that large groups try not to stay together all day.  Instead I suggest doing a few activities or attractions together and then just getting together for meals and special events, such as a nighttime fireworks show.  I think that is especially true when the group consists of guests with a wide range of ages.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
