In January 2012 we are taking our three daughters; 6, 3, 2 to WDW for their very first time. We are not cheaping out on anything. My question is Which resort should we stay, Animal Kingdom Kidani Villa 1 bedroom villa or Boardwalk 1 bedroom villa? Thanks

    Hi Dyana!

All of the Disney Deluxe Villas are amazing places to stay at!  My favorites are Bay Lake Tower, the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Beach Club Villas.

Between the two you listed, I recommend staying at Kidani Village.  I think young guests especially love seeing all of the exotic animals right outside the hotel.  Also, it has an awesome pool and splash area that I think your daughters will love.  The only "problem" with Kidani Village is it's a little remote and thus traveling by Disney buses takes a long time, and there's no food court at Kidani Village; you can order some food at the pool bar but otherwise you'll have to take a bus to the main lodge building or walk the 15 minute walk.

I'm not a huge fan of the Boardwalk though it does have a great location.  If you want to stay on Crescent Lake, between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, then I recommend staying at the Beach or Yacht Club instead.  That's because the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk all have good locations, but the Beach and Yacht Club share Stormalong Bay.  Stormalong Bay is easily the best pool at Walt Disney World and your daughters will love it; for the younger guests there's a sand island surrounded by water (and it's a sand bottom pool) where the guests can build real sand castles.  I always have trouble chasing my children out of Stormalong Bay.  Also, the Beach Club is closer to Epcot than the Boardwalk; you can walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot in about 5 minutes.

Good luck with your decision and write back with more questions!
