    This January we will be staying at the PO French Quarter. The men in our party have booked the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure for Saturday at 8:30am. Since the buses do not run then, how long does a taxi ride take, and, do you know the approximate cost?

    Hi Lynette,

    Your family will want to check in to the Wilderness Back Trail Adventure by 8:15am. This is located at the Bike Barn in Fort Wilderness. The taxi cabs stop at the Reception Outpost area and they'll need to take an internal shuttle to the Bike Barn from there. Those buses come every 15 minutes or so, therefore they will need to plan on enough time for that as well.

    The taxi fare itself should be approximately $16.00, including the tip and should take around 10 minutes. There is a great online tool that I often use called the Taxi Fare Finder.

    Due to the unpredictability of the shuttles, and the fact that they need to be on time, I would have the taxi pick them up by 7:30a at the latest. You can have Bell Services schedule a taxi pick-up for you.
