When it comes to Disneyland Resort tickets, while expiration dates may come and go, there is a bit of magic that never fully burns out! Expiration dates for tickets purchased in 2020 were initially extended, and while those dates have now passed, do not worry. You are able to put the value of your original tickets towards the purchase of new tickets! To do this, give our Cast Members in Ticket Services a ring at (714) 781-4636 and they will be happy to assist you!
There are a few new offerings that I'd love to walk you through. Actually, we might want to hop on our magic carpets for this one! First, Guests are now required to have a theme park ticket as well as a
theme park reservation to enter the parks. A reservation is simply the date(s) you will be attending. Reservations can be canceled and rebooked, but are limited and subject to availability. Once you purchase your tickets, you will want to make sure you secure your reservations as well. Currently, the
calendar for May shows lots of availability for both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park!
Similar to your original purchase, the Disneyland Resort still offers
One Park Per Day Tickets in addition to Park Hoppers. If you are considering a Park Hopper, note that when you make your reservation, you will choose the park where you will start your day with hopping available after 1 p.m. There are different pools of reservations available for One Park Per Day and Park Hopper Tickets, so when you are looking at that reservation calendar, be sure you have toggled to the calendar corresponding to your ticket type!
While Disney MaxPass has been retired, the new
Disney Genie Service is ready to grant you three wishes! The first is a complimentary planning tool with none other than the Genie himself sending you recommendations as you move through your day. I always recommend spending some time in the Disneyland Mobile App ahead of your visit and letting the Genie know your must-do attractions and interests and then ... POOF! On the day of your visit, he will load in a personalized itinerary just for you and make suggestions as you move through the parks.
The second wish granted is adding Genie+ to your tickets! Similar to MaxPass, Genie+ will grant you access to Lightning Lanes for up to 19 attractions. You have the option of adding Genie+ to your tickets at the time of purchase, or you can decide to upgrade on a day-by-day basis by purchasing it in the Disneyland Mobile App once you have scanned into the park. The other added bonus is that with Genie+, you will get unlimited digital downloads of the
Disney PhotoPass photos you take that day so you can keep those memories forever!
For his third wish, Genie is granting Individual Lightning Lane access to some of the more popular attractions. These are attractions where the Lightning Lanes are not included in Genie+ but can be purchased a la carte!
