    Hi! In January I'm running the Disney Half Marathon and my husband, parents, and our 6-month old will be coming with me. Any suggestions as to hotel arrangements with an infant, ideas on what to pack, and would a suite be more economical for my family?

    Hi JoAnne!  I love Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World!  And congratulations on signing up for the half!

    For room arrangements, you could do a couple of things. 
    1.  Get adjoining rooms
    2.  Get a suite or Vacation Club Villa

    Some of the Value resorts offer a family suite, but that would probably not be big enough for 4 adults and 1 infant.  A 1-bedroom villa would offer you a master bedroom with a separate living room (pull-out sofa bed) and full kitchen.  This would be a good option if one of the adult couples was OK with sleeping on the sofa bed.  The 1-bedroom villa would still be more than getting adjoining rooms at a Value Resort.  I would call 1-407-WDW-IRUN to find out what prices would be at the different resorts with your runner's discount.   A 2-bedroom villa would be great, but those are very expensive.

    I would pack comfortable clothes and shoes to wear as you explore Disney World before and after your race.  For the race, you will need:
    An I.D.
    Email with your race confirmation number (not required, but handy)
    Print out and sign your waiver (to avoid standing in line once you get to the packet pick-up)
    Race outfit (be sure to run in it at least once before race day to make sure it is comfortable)
    Running socks and shoes
    Sunscreen
    Advil, Tylenol, etc.
    An old jacket to wear at the start and then shed during the race (they are donated to charity)
    Camera, phone, etc.
