In January or February 2026 do you think the 70th special parades\nightly experiences will be offered only on weekends since this is normally an off season time with limited normal scheduled parades in the past?

Heya, hiya, Anna! Sending you a sunny West Coast welcome to planDisney!

Oh boy! Questions about parades and nighttime spectaculars are some of my favorites because they’re such a big part of what makes a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth feel unforgettable. I can tell you’re already imagining the dazzling nights of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration in early 2026—and I love that kind of planning spirit!

In my experience, I’ve found the first couple months of the year to bring a more relaxed pace to the resort, and historically, some parades and shows have had more limited schedules during this season. At the moment, the entertainment schedule hasn’t been released yet for January and February 2026—that usually happens about six weeks in advance—so we’ll need to wait a little longer for those details. What I can share is that the Disney Parks Blog recently noted that the beloved Paint the Night parade will take a brief pause during the holiday season before resuming at a later date. So many Guests (myself included!) have asked about this parade because it’s so well-loved, and I’m hopeful we’ll see it lighting up Main Street, U.S.A. nightly once again, even in the winter months following the holidays.

The great news is that no matter what the final parade schedule looks like, the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will still be in full swing during your visit. That means you’ll be surrounded by dazzling décor, tasty limited-time treats, commemorative merchandise, and festive surprises unique to this milestone anniversary—all adding up to plenty of extra magic during your trip. To stay up to date, I’d recommend checking the Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website or mobile app as your visit gets closer—it’s the best way to know exactly what’s planned each day.

I hope this helps guide your planning, Anna. However the entertainment schedule takes shape, the 70th Celebration will make your visit one to remember, with moments you’ll carry home like keepsakes.

    See ya real soon!
