After January 9, 2024 do annual passholders with Disney hotel reservations need to reserve parks for their stay?

    Hiya Peggy!

Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow New Yorker, I'm probably just like you looking out the window and wishing for warmer days with Mickey Mouse.

At this time Annual Passholders still have to make theme park reservations as they do not hold "date-based tickets."  I have a February trip coming up and I did have to make my Theme Park Reservations. I do have some good news though! The Disney Parks Blog announced that on January 11, 2024, "Good-To-Go Days" will be announced which are dates where Annual Passholders can enter the parks without a reservation. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the My Disney Experience App for those "Good-To-Go Days." Another change that I am very excited about is that also on January 9, 2024, we will see the 2 PM Park Hopper time end! Guests with an Annual Pass will now be able to hop at any time! We will still have to visit our first park with reservation first but then we are free to enjoy the day as we wish when we wish.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions please let me know!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
