Hi Jane, I am wanting to reserve a golf cart at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at the end of December. Have the requirements changed recently so you have to be a hotel guest to rent one please? Many thanks Peter

As they sometimes say in the wilderness, "Howdy Peter!"

Thank you so much for asking me such an important question about your upcoming December holiday staying within the magic of Walt Disney World Resort.  The Christmas Holidays are such a wondrous time of the yEAR for a Disney visit!  Every little thing from the EARidesant decor to all the delicious Disney treats and Christmas offerings seems to just twinkle and sparkle with extra pixie-dust during the Yuletide season of goodwill to all Mouseketeers!

My family and I have been lucky enough to have spent Christmas staying within one of the rustic home-sweet-home-away-from-home Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  So, I truly know for sure that you're going to enjoy the most incredible time at this most delightful of Disney Resorts.

Peter, it really is a super smart idea to utilise Golf Cart Rentals - 4 Seats when staying or just visiting Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  I'm happy to share with you that to the very best of my current knowledge, all Guests are indeed more than welcome to rent a golf cart there.

Golf Cart Rentals at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort can be hugely popular with Guests, and rentals can be reserved over the phone up to 12-months in advance of arrival.  Although Guests from the UK can call the number contained within this link to reserve golf carts, my top planDisney tip would be to dial the UK freephone number for Tours & Recreation contained within this handy Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory, and then ask to be connected to a Cast Member who can help with your reservation.

Plus, it might be good to know that any unreserved golf carts are made available to Guests on a first-come, first-served basis at the Outpost, Reception area of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

And lastly, I thought you may find this Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Vehicles, Carts, and Recreational Devices Rules and Regulations to be a really useful and informative planning resource for your upcoming December holiday.

Peter, I hope that I've been able to provide you with a little pixie-dusted assistance today!  If you should happen to have any further questions for me, then please do drop back any time to planDisney where I'm always happy to help wherever possible.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
