Hi Jane, We’re planning to book 14 day magic tickets for 14-29th August 2022. If our flights get cancelled, is it right that we can exchange wholly unused tickets for alternative tickets to be used up to 12 January 2024? Many thanks. Nicola

    Hello Nicola,

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for asking me such an important question about visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

There really is nothing quite like planning and looking forward to a jolly holiday at the most magical place on earth.  But, when you're travelling as we Brits do, from across the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, flight delays, diversions, or even cancellations are always a potential travel hazard to try and be ready for.

With this in mind Nicola, my personal recommendation would be to always purchase adequate travel insurance to suit your family's needs and travel requirements.  After all, peace of mind is utterly priceless!

Let's continue to think happy thoughts about your plans to holiday this coming summer at Walt Disney World Resort.  I love the idea of visiting the Sunshine State of Florida in August!  Although, you'll certainly want to keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water.  Did you know that Guests can request free cups of iced water at almost any Quick-Service dining location on Disney property?!  Simply ask the nearest Cast Member to assist you.

14-Day Magic Tickets really do offer such tiggerific value for money for Guests visiting from the United Kingdom and Ireland.  However, as per the current 2022 Magic Ticket Terms and Conditions, Guests are only able to amend their Magic Ticket-only bookings without any amendment fees, at any time up to 7 days before their scheduled arrival date at Walt Disney World Resort.  This includes arrivals for up to and including 31st, December 2022.

Additionally, please understand that Guests will need to pay any differences in ticket price if the amended Magic Ticket price is higher.  Or, if the ticket price is lower, Disney will of course refund the difference!

Nicola, if you should wish to amend, or even cancel a Disney Holiday Package, the lead passenger named on the booking will need to speak in person with a Cast Member.  Helpful Cast Members will be able to fully discuss any possible options to work with you to find a way forward, and of course, will be able to provide details of any amendment charges, price adjustments, and so on.

To connect with a Cast Member, please go ahead and dial the UK freephone number contained within this handy Walt Disney Travel Company - Contact Us link.

And lastly, I should add that everything is always subject to change at Walt Disney World Resort!

I sincerely hope I've been able to offer a little pixie-dusted insight and guidance for you today.  Please don't hesitate to pop back to me here at planDisney if you should have any further enquires.  I'm always happy to help wherever it's possible for me to do so.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
