Going Jan. 14-19. What are crowds like at this time? Also, staying at villas at WL. Any particular bldg or room I should ask for to be close to main bldg and restaurants?

    Hi Michelle,

Since you will be visiting Walt Disney World during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, you will see fairly high attendance rates at the Disney theme parks.  I recommend that you arrive at the parks at opening time and taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours whenever they are offered.  After the 16th, however, the crowds will dissipate quickly so the 17th and 18th look like great days for touring the parks with much fewer people.

As for the Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, there is no need to request a specific building as all the villas are housed under one room right next to the main lodge.  When I stay here I request a room on a high floor with a view of Bay Lake.  Then, although there are quite a few tall trees between your balcony and the lake, you'll still be able to catch a glimpse of the Electrical Water Pageant as it glides by each evening around 9:35 pm.  You might also want to request a room near the elevators as that will likely situate you on the side of the villas building that is closest to the main lodge.

Wishing you a January trip sprinkled with extra pixie dust!

    Jill
