Hi! Jan 2014 We'll be bringing our 7yr old daughter to Disney for her 8th birthday, this will also be her first time there! I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make this trip EXTRA special without breaking the bank. Anything we must not miss??

    Hello Amanda!

Without knowing what you may have planned already,  please take a look at all the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer!  Birthdays are such a fun time, especially at Walt Disney World.  Have you seen the ways in which you might like to customize your celebration?

If you want some budget friendly ideas, let me try and help with a few.  It won't cost you a thing, and there are few things more magical than watching Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from just in front of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park.  What do you think about visiting Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch in Magic Kingdom?  Advance reservations are not available.  Rather, it's a quick service dining location fit for a princess!  My girls love to take a Disney Resort Monorail ride and stop at each hotel.  We often do this and tell stories about adventures we are part of based on the theming of each resort.  Many times, my girls will journal in our hotel room before bed about those adventures.  It gets their imaginations going, and also provides them a great writing experience!  Are you looking for more ideas?   Feel free to write back to me with more questions.  I am happy to help!

Happy birthday to your little princess, Amanda!

I wish you a truly magical vacation!
