Hi Jacqui, I am a recent cancer survivor and the single mother of a 9yr son. This will be my very first cruise in my life and my son's too. My income is limited so I'm interested in rate/fee specials of some kind, are you aware of any?

Hi Robin.  I'm sure you have had quite an ordeal, and I'm so glad to hear that things have gone well for you with your treatments.   A Disney Cruise sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate that , and have some magical times with your son.   Going on Disney Cruise Line is a fabulous experience like no other.

I have some ideas on how you can save some money when booking a Disney Cruise.  First off, booking early will usually get you the biggest discount and diverse choice of cabins.  In general, inside staterooms are least expensive.   Definitely take a look at the Disney Cruise Line Special Offers.  The latest deals will always be posted there.   I would also look for outside travel agents online who specialize in booking Disney Cruises.  There are many out there and it's certainly worth the time to research.  I would also suggest searching online for "last minute disney cruise specials."   If you can be flexible about your dates and stateroom category, you can sometimes get relatively last minute discounts.    Last minute usually means around 20-75 days before cruise departure time.

I certainly hope this helps you with some ideas on how to get the best discounts on your budget, Robin.  Please let me know if I can help you again.  Thanks for visiting me at the Disney parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your milestone.

I wish you a MAGICAL vacation!
