    Hi Jackie, 1 more week till we are at Disney!! We have res at Rainforrest Cafe in AK @ 1pm on 9/28 then want to go to DD, what is best way w/o going back to POP? What are some can't miss attractions at DD for our 7 yr daughter? Any last minute advise?

    Hi Tonya!

          I bet that you are just bursting with excitement!  The Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal Kingdom is always so much less crowded than the location at Downtown Disney.   Many people don't realize that you don't even have to enter Animal Kingdom to eat there - it is actually located adjacent to the entrance.  After you have finished every last delicious crumb, simply hop on the bus to the Saratoga Springs Resort and then transfer to the Downtown Disney bus.  Not including the time spent waiting for the buses, it should take around 40 minutes.

         Ok, now for the fun stuff!  The theming of these shops and restaurants is so over the top that you truly feel as though you are still in the parks!  Since you asked for last minute ideas, I won't include the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but you probably still have time to get in if you would like to.  Not that you could miss it if you tried, but the World of Disney is the largest Disney Store on the planet!  Tucked inside this mammoth store, is the castle themed Princess Room.  Here an Audio Animatronic Princess sings along while your little princess can create her own tiara or wand.  WARNING, you will not likely leave this shop empty handed!!!

         Take your time to stroll through all of the shops here - half of fun is window shopping!  Christmas is just around the corner, so be sure to get in the spirit in Disney's Days of Christmas shop.  Or, for the ultimate souvenir, don't miss Arribas Brothers for her very own glass slipper.  Amazingly, prices start at just $9.50!!!   Finally, let her build for a while in the Lego play yard.  While she can't take home her creation, she should have plenty of fun while you catch a much needed break on a nearby bench!  I love, love, love Downtown Disney and I am so happy that your are including it in your vacation!
