Hi Jackie! Thinking about the Pop Century this trip but also don't want to be around the large groups of kids doing cheerleading, ect. Would requesting a standard room on the top floor be a safe bet or should I get a preferred room? Thanks.

    Hi Jaynee!

Great question! To me one of the major downfalls to staying at one of the All Star Resorts, particulary All Star Sports, is the fact that it often plays host to school groups.  However, I have never actually seen a cheerleading/dance/sports group in all my stays at Pop Century!  That's not to say that they never stay there, it just isn't as common.  I always request a top floor room and can honestly say that I've never had an issue with noise.  Believe it or not, the Value and Moderate resorts actually have better soundproofing than those rooms at the Deluxe resorts.  Because they exit to the outdoors and not an indoor hallway, they are very well insulated.  Pretty cool!

In general, the Preferred rooms will have the most noise.  Not only because they are close to the main pool area, but because of all the foot traffic with people walking past your room to their more distant ones.  Sooo, for the ultimate in peace and privacy... I would request a lake view room in the 70's building on the top floor..  Standard AND a great view as well!  Of course, they can't guarantee your request, but will do their best to honor them.  Have a fantastic vacation and keep those questions coming!

    Much pixie dust,
