Jackie, Thanks so much for answer my past questions, I have 1 more! We are 10 days out from the big trip! What are some must items I should put on my shopping list of things to bring with us? Have you ever gotten there and wished you had brought something?

    Hi Sarah!

The number one item that you can't forget to pack in your suitcase is...ME!!!  I just got back from a fabulous trip and I'm ready to go right back.

Water! Water! Water!  At around $2.50 per bottle of water, you can spend a huge chunk of change trying to stay hydrated at Disney World.  I highly recommend purchasing a case or two of water before you leave home, for around $5 for 24 bottles.  We pack a soft sided ice chest with ice from our resort and our bottles and then place it in our stroller.  It is completely OK to do this and you will have no problem bringing your own water into the parks.

No one likes to do laundry while on vacation, but it happens.  Particulary in the Summer when clothes changes are more frequent.  The laundry facilities on property will cost $4 to wash and dry a load of laundry.  Detergent is available for sale for $1.  We found out the hard way that the change machines don't always work!  We now bring lots of quarters and even our own detergent.  Purex has just come out with a handy sheet that contains detergent and softener in one - great for travel!

There are several locations throughout Disney where you can send cute pics back to family and friends.  It is handy to have a list of everyone's e-mail and street addresses for post cards.  My kids love to create the Pressed Pennies on the machines that seem to pop up everywhere you turn.  It helps to have quarters on hand for this as well.  Spray sunscreen saves tons of time and can be a real lifesaver in the blistering Florida sun!  Finally, my husband would never let me leave the house without hand sanitizer.  With thousands of visiting families each day, you may never know what you just touched!

Don't worry if you forget anything.  Disney World carries nearly every product known to man...or mouse!

    Much pixie dust,

    Jackie S.
