Hi Jackie. I am planning a trip to Disney the first week of May 2010. I would like to stay at the Yacht or Beach Club. We are going to request connecting rooms. Where are the best rooms? Also, what will the crowds be like? Usually go in the summer. Thnx

    Hi Jennifer!

Ahhh, the Beach Club in early May - does it get any better than this?  Well, obviously my preference between the Yacht and Beach club is clear...Beach Club all the way!  The Yacht Club, while gorgeous, is a little stuffy and masculine to me.  On the other hand, the Beach Club oozes hospitality and seaside charm.  Of course, both resorts have access to the world famous Stormalong Bay, perhaps the best pool on Walt Disney World property!

A little word to the wise, if you wish to have a door connecting the interior of your rooms together, please request "adjoining" rooms.  Otherwise, request "connecting" rooms for accommodations next door to each other.   For the best (and most expensive!) rooms at both resorts, reserve a Water View room that directly faces the lake.  There are some great standard (less expensive!) rooms at the Beach Club that face the woods and Epcot.  Exact room numbers for these rooms can be found at www.touringplans.com.

The crowds in early May are wonderful when compared to those in the summer.  I also find that the weather is still pretty nice - hot, but bearable.  Since your trip is still over a year away, I recommend making your reservations as soon as possible to have a  better chance of receiving your room requests.  I'm so jealous - can I stow away in your suitcase???

    Much pixie dust,
