Hi Jackie! Myself, DH & DD 2 & 4 1/2 are staying in POFQ 9/28-10/7. We have stayed at POP before and loved it. Im nervous about the bus ride being very long with the POR pickup. Should we go back to POP where the buses were always quick and conve

    Hi Lisa!

I totally get your hesitation!  You are talking about my favorite Value Resort AND my favorite Moderate Resort, sooo I am completely torn!  Port Orleans is relaxing, beautiful and quiet - the total opposite of Pop Century!  However, I am one of those crazy people that love the loud, over the top theming found at Pop.  Without a doubt, the bus transportation is MUCH better at Pop Century.  It has its own dedicated bus line and plenty of buses to go around.  On the other hand, Port Orleans French Quarter shares its bus with Port Orleans Riverside, with its multiple stops.  Although, since you are staying at the French Quarter side, you will have just a quick stroll to the bus stop and will virtually be guaranteed a seat.  You will also have the opportunity to take the adorable boat ride to Downtown Disney - my boys love this!

I think that you should stay just where you are!  If you would like to read more about it, check out my most recent blog post at blog.deltavacations.com/2012/05/disneys-port-orleans-resort-review/.  It is only the first part of my review of Port Orleans, but you may find it informative.  Thanks so much for writing - keep those questions coming!

    Much pixie dust,
