Hello again, Frank!
The bar and lounge at
Space 220 are in the same general area. However, when I mentioned being able to enjoy the bar without a reservation, I was talking about the physical bar that is in the restaurant that has stools around it to sit on. Think of a normal bar at any other restaurant. If you do a quick internet search for the bar at Space 220 you will see images of what I am talking about. The bar itself can accommodate around 10-12 people at a time. I went back and took a look at the pictures of the bar that I took when I dined there and there were at least 12 bar stools that I could see from my angle. The bar seats are first-come, first-serve but if you show up with your whole party they should be able to accommodate you all together. There aren't individual tables in the bar area because that is now considered the lounge. If you'd like to dine in the lounge area, you'll need to have a reservation for it at this time.
Space 220 is broken up into three different sections right now.
- Space 220 the restaurant - requires advanced reservations
- The Lounge at Space 220 - requires advanced reservations
- The bar at Space 220 - walk-up list
Reservations for the first two are actually made separately. So if you aren't able to secure a dining reservation for the restaurant portion, you can always try the lounge because they aren't the same thing in the reservations system. Dining in the restaurant requires you to order from the prix fixe meal offerings, the bar and lounge you can choose that option or have the flexibility to just order drinks and something off of the
Flight Bite menu if you'd like.
I hope you are able to enjoy Space 220 in some way on your upcoming vacation, Frank. It truly is out-of-this-world.
Have a great day!
Jackie H.
