Jackie, I am also from LA and am planning to stay at the Port Orleans in Early December. I have heard that the grounds are beautiful and that the ammenities are wonderful. So do you recommend this resort to locals or could you recommed somewhee else?

    Hi Sally!

Without a doubt, YES!  I guess I need to be more specific - if you are from the New Orleans area, Port Orleans French Quarter may not be the best choice for a place to escape reminders of everyday life.  However, it is not like the Quarter that locals know and love (warts and all!)  Disney's version is clean, gorgeous and well, magical.  It is an idyllic version of the New Orleans that the rest of the world envisions.  The carriage rides, fountains and grounds are perfect for anyone who is looking for a quiet, romantic resort!

Port Orleans Riverside, our favorite, is a true escape from reality!  From the moment you enter the grounds, you know that magic is about to happen.  Take a step back in time to a genteel Southern resort where the theming is absolutely perfect!  The lush landscaping is complimented by the beautiful Sassagoula River running right through the grounds.  I cannot recommend this resort enough and suggest that you check out www.PortOrleans.org for even more great information.  Don't hesitate - book this resort today!

    Much pixie dust,
