    Hi Jackie from La,  My family is planning its first trip to Disneyworld in 2010, i was wondering how much spending cash would you recommend bringing, i have 3 kids also, 8, 5 and 1?

    Hi Desire!

         You are so smart to plan ahead!  I'm assuming that you have your resort, food and ticket budget settled and are just asking about the "extras."  No matter how hard you convince yourself otherwise, EVERYONE is going to want souvenirs - even you!  Disney World is the most magical place on Earth and it is sooo tempting to want to bring home a piece of that legendary magic.  

         I would recommend bringing around $20 - $30 per person per day for spending money.  Of course, what you don't spend can always be rolled over to the next day.  It's a good idea to have your kiddos check out what is available at a couple of shops before dropping all of their cash in one place!  The World of Disney Store, in Downtown Disney, is an amazing place that carries just about everything that is sold throughout the rest of the parks.  Any item that you may have missed out on earlier in the vacation can usually be found in this colossal shop!

         I realize that all of this money really begins to add up.  A great way to encourage your older children to save, is to have them earn Disney Dollars in the months preceding the trip.  Disney Dollars are available online and at your local Disney Store.  Have a great trip!
