Hey there, Oscar! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney to chit-chat with me about your upcoming
Walt Disney World vacation.
I think you'll be happy to know that the
Walt Disney World Theme Park Availability Calendar does get regularly updated and spots do open up! I've had great luck with securing park pass reservations the closer it gets to the actual day that I'd like to visit. I've even snagged at a Walt Disney World Theme Park reservation on the morning of - not that you want to wait that long but there is still hope. The key here is to keep checking back.
If it is getting closer to your vacation dates and you still haven't secured those
park pass reservations, I have another idea for you. Do you have the
MyDisneyExperience app downloaded on your smartphone device? If not, I highly recommend it because it is helpful to have while you are there. Anyway, if you open the app and log in to your MyDisneyExpereince account, you'll be directed to the main page. On the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, you should see three blue horizontal lines and you'll want to click on them. This will open up a navigational menu. Scroll down until you see the "Chat With Us" option and select that. This is going to connect you with a Cast Member in Guest Relations that might be able to help you with your park pass reservation situation. When the chat is launched you'll type in a little description of what you'd like to discuss and then wait to be connected to a Cast Member. Sometimes it is right away and sometimes you have to wait an hour or two but the good thing about this is you can click out of it and be notified via push notifications when someone is ready to chat with you. I would talk a little bit about your situation and ask what your options are. They might be able to send a little pixie dust your way.
One thing I love to do at Walt Disney World that does not require park pass reservations, Oscar, is spending a day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. If you have a nice day during your trip, this might be something to consider. You can purchase tickets right at the gate on the day you'd like to visit and then head straight in. This water park is great because it has something for the whole family. Probably the highlight, however, is the surf pool that's right in the middle of the water park. The waves are so perfect that they actually used to give surf lessons in the pool in the mornings before the water park actually opened. It's so much fun getting tossed around in life-size waves.
Oscar, I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to snag park pass reservations for next week. If you have any other questions in the meantime, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Good luck!
Jackie H.
