Hi Jackie I have another ? for you. I have dining resv. for mickeys bbq on thurs. I will be spending day at HS. my resv. is for 6:30. what time should I leave park to get to dinner? Also I may want to go back to gf to change. What are your thoughts.

Hello Estelle!  Thanks for coming back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask me a question.  It sounds like you have a very fun day planned while you are at Walt Disney World.  Disney's Hollywood Studios is my favorite park!

From Disney's Hollywood Studios to The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort it is about a 20 minute bus ride, give or take.   If it were me, I would plan on heading out about an hour and fifteen minutes ahead of time.  I like to factor in if the bus is going to be crowded or not and then the time it will take to actually get to the open air pavilion.  If you want to head back to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort to change before the BBQ, I would suggest giving yourself plenty of time.  I find that time can slip away from me when I head back to the resort to change.  I would plan on leaving the park two and a half hours prior to your reservations.  That gives you just enough time to head back to your room, change and then scoot over to dinner.

You are going to love Mickey's Backyard BBQ.  I hope you have a rootin' tootin' good time!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
