I'v heard that if you are worried about not being able to do a 16 min mile that you should try to be at the front of the corral. What time should I arrive to the race to try to be at the front? Running my first half marathon on 11/15! Thanks.

    Hi, Amy!

I hope you are getting excited to save the world one mile at a time during the 2015 Avengers Super Hero Half Marathon.

It is true that being in the front of your corral does buy you some time - the 16 minute mile "pacing clock" does not begin until the very last runner, in the very last corral, crosses the starting line. By being in the front, regardless of your corral placement, you give yourself a little cushion. With that, I suggest planning on heading into your corral as soon as they are available to runners, usually one hour prior to race start. Generally, runners space themselves out pretty well when the corrals first open, so you should be able to inch your way up to the front.

I hope this helps to ease your mind, Amy! Please let me know if you should have any additional questions. I am here to help take the guess work out of your first runDisney half marathon!
