Hello Sandra! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The first time my family stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, we were in a Standard Room in The Little Mermaid section. After my son came down with a cough that was keeping others awake at night, we decided that the option of separate rooms was necessary. While I love the fantastically themed location and rooms in The Little Mermaid section, nothing quite compares to the Endless Magic of the
Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
One of our favorite features of our Family Suite was the kitchenette, which included a microwave, coffeemaker, a small refrigerator., and a supply of disposable glasses, cups, plates, knives, forks, spoons and bowls (resupplied by Mousekeeping services or by calling a Cast Member at the Front Desk). You'll also find a corkscrew, bottle opener and other utensils in the kitchenette, although we never used them.
The supplied cutlery was made of plastic, paper or styrofoam and all of the cutlery was disposable. On one of our trips, we brought reusable bowls and cutlery and washed them in the kitchenette sink after meals, even though disposable bowls are provided, bu this was a personal preference.
While at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, be sure to
enjoy the quick-and-delicious fare at the wonderful Landscape of Flavors. Also, as Disney's Art of Animation focuses on the drawings behind our favorite Disney Animated features, I heartily recommend the Teach to Draw classes in the children's playroom next to the Front Desk offered daily at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to learn to draw your favorite Disney characters. Please note that times and availability are subject to change.
Have a Magical Vacation!
