Joshua from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I’ve lived in Irvine, CA, for 4 years but was born and raised in Sacramento, so my driver’s license reflects that address. How can I prove residency to qualify for the SOCAL pass?

    Hi Joshua,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! You live so close to the parks, it's only natural that you would want to take advantage of this awesome special that Disneyland is offering. I’m happy to share with you some options to enjoy  all that the Disneyland Resort has to offer.

When you purchase the SoCal 3-day ticket, a Cast Member will need to verify your address with a valid government-issued photo ID. Cast Members will not be able to use other documents, such as a utility bill or phone bill, to verify your address. I know that might not be the news you want to hear, but don’t lose heart—there are still ways to enjoy the Disney magic without heading into the park.

Consider visiting Downtown Disney, grabbing a bite to eat, and listening to some good music. I recently went to the Jazz Kitchen with my family, and we really enjoyed the food there. I had the Gulf Coast Poutine fries, and they were delicious. After dinner, head to the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage for some nightly entertainment or just shop around. I like to pop by the World of Disney store to plan my next outfit for the parks ( an all black spirit jersey is calling my name).  If you have a late dinner, you can even see the Disneyland fireworks from the Esplanade in front of the entrance to Disneyland.

Disney magic isn’t just in the parks, Joshua, so don’t let this be a setback. The SoCal 3-day ticket is currently offered through May 15, 2025, so there might still be time to get a California ID. Regardless, keep an eye out for any other offers or discounts Disney might offer. I’ll be wishing on a star that Disneyland magic is still in your near future!

I hope this was helpful advice, Joshua. If you have any other questions or need help planning a magical trip, please feel free to write back to me or my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.

    Best of luck!
