Greetings, Reycen,
“Iron Man. That’s kind of catchy. It’s got a nice ring to it. I mean it’s not technically accurate. The suit’s [EVA craft foam]. But it’s kind of provocative, the imagery anyway.” – Tony Stark
It sounds like you’ve got an amazing, creative costume to use at
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party. I’m really looking forward to experiencing this new offering at
Disney California Adventure Park this year. I think you’ll have an amazing time with all of the
fun activities available. I’m most looking forward to Villains Grove held in the
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
“Following is not really my style.” – Tony Stark
Though, for the safety and comfort of all guests, it is going to be important to follow the
Disneyland Resort guidelines for costumes. If your costume adheres to these guidelines, you should be permitted to enter the party! There are two elements of the costume guidelines that may be worth highlighting:
- Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
- Headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.
If you feel like your costume may be reasonably screened at the security checkpoints for
prohibited items and doesn’t pose a significant obstruction or strike hazard to other guests, you should be fine.
“You can take away my suits, you can take away my home, but there’s one thing you can never take away from me: I am Iron Man.” – Tony Stark
In the event that security Cast Members are concerned about your costume, you may want to have a Plan B available. For example, a
Disney Bounding outfit that may be worn under your suit may also be a way to continue the dress-up fun even if you decide to remove the armor later in the evening.
“It’s not enough to be against something. You have to be for something better.” – Tony Stark
I hope you have an amazing time during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, Reycen. Please
come by again with any additional questions you may have.
