Family planning a trip

When I invite someone to my Friends and Family list and they accept, can I still make plans for them? I want to have the control initially but want them to see what I have planned. When our trip gets here I want them to be able to revise FFPs and dining.

Hi, Patricia! Thanks for bringing your question to us. I actually have lots of experience doing exactly what you are asking, as I travel frequently with my fellow Panelists. We usually share responsibility in making dining reservations and FastPass+ selections, so we keep each other linked via our Family & Friends Lists. Making plans for others and sharing the ability to make or modify those plans are easily accomplished. There are just a few things you will want to keep in mind so that you don't have to rely on the magic of Fairy Godmother's magic wand to get the job done!

When linking to other people, it is best to have the system link to their My Disney Experience account, not merely add them as a guest that is "controlled" by you. Linking to their account gives them the ability to pull up the plans and modify some of them. Yes, I did say some of them, so we will chat about that soon! As you add a person to your Family & Friends List, the system will give you the option to Invite This Guest to Connect by the email they use for their My Disney Experience account. If they do not have one, encourage them to set one up if they would like to keep up with the magic! Be sure to go into their profile on your List (and have them go into your profile on their end) and check the box that allows for viewing of all plans.

When you make dining reservations and FastPass+ selections, you will be now able to include your Friends & Family! They will also be able to see all of those plans and modify their FastPass+ plans if they like. Remember that part about "modifying some of them?" Only the person who is the lead guest on a dining reservation may make changes to that reservation. Otherwise, everyone included as a guest in that dining party will see it pop up in their account.

I hope this helps you make magic, Patricia! Let us know if you have any other questions.
