How do I invite someone to connect and set up an account if they are already in my friends and family list? (My husband is named on the resort reservation with me, but I want him to be able to join in planning.) Does he need an MDE account first?

Hey, Betsy! Sounds like you have started to plan another magical adventure. There are so many decisions to make in the next few months - where to eat, which park to visit each day, what FastPass+ selections to make. I think you have a great idea of wanting to include your husband in the planning process. It may just be the spoonful of sugar that makes this planning task you undertake a piece of cake.

The very first step will be to make your husband a My Disney Experience account with his email address and his own password. Once he has his account set up, you will need to sign in to your My Disney Experience account and head to your My Family & Friends List. Find your husband's profile and click the Update button next to it. His profile will expand and you will see another link with it to Share Planning with him. Click that link and enter the email address he used when setting up his My Disney Experience account. Your husband will receive an email notification that you are wanting to link My Disney Experience accounts with him. When I have done this before, it usually takes up to an hour for the email to arrive. He will just need to approve the link to complete the task.

I do want you to check one thing before we finish. Go back into your My Family & Friends list and click Update again on his profile. You will now see buttons to select the plans and photos he is able to view. Make sure the button for All My Plans is clicked and also that checkbox that allows him to view your Disney PhotoPass photos. He needs to also do this to your profile on his end when he is signed into his My Disney Experience account.

Once all of these steps are complete, the plans you have made with your husband will transfer over to his account. He will be able to view and manage plans along with you. If you have any difficulty with this, feel free to stop by again to chat with us or give the My Disney Experience line a call to chat with a Cast Member. Thanks again for stopping by today!
