Hey there, Robert! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy that you've stopped by with such a fun planning question.
Before you know it, you'll be arriving at
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, ready to begin your magical adventure at The Most Magical Place on Earth. What a way to ring in the new year! Bay Lake Tower is one of my
Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts and my very favorite
DVC Resort. With the fantastic views of Cinderella Castle and the monorail soaring by your window, there just seems to be an extra buzz of magic in the air here. The only thing that could make it more magical is experiencing it with friends, so I'm thrilled to answer your question today, Robert.
I think you will be happy to hear that your friends can absolutely visit you in your room at Bay Lake Tower! While certain amenities, such as the pools, are reserved for Resort Guests, you and your friends can certainly visit in your room and throughout the Resort. During one of my family's holiday time vacations, our friends visited us in our Deluxe Studio with a Theme Park View. The kiddos wore their holiday jammies and sipped hot chocolate while the adults sipped champagne, laughed and chatted about the magic of the day. Then, we all watched Magic Kingdom Park's fireworks spectacular together from the balcony, and it was a night none of us will forget.
Now, something to consider is that unless your friends have a dining reservation, they may not be able to park in the Resort's parking lot. So, I suggest either making a dining reservation at one of
the Resort's restaurants and enjoying a great lunch or dinner together (I suggest
Steakhouse 71. YUM!) or having your friends take Disney transportation or a rideshare service to Bay Lake Tower for your visit.
I hope this was helpful, Robert, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable vacation and visit with your friends! Please feel free to stop by any time with any planning questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
