Are intertubes and other inflatable toys allowed at the Grand Californian pool?

Hey there, Emily! Thanks for stopping by with another great question. Planning some downtime at the pool is a great idea to take a break and recharge! The pools at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are beautiful and you’re sure to love the atmosphere. There are three pools – the Fountain, Redwood and Mariposa – the entire area has a fun and relaxing vibe!

Emily, for the safety of all Guests, there are no inflatable toys and items allowed in the pool. However, if you have a young non-swimmer who needs to wear a small flotation device like a vest or arm rings, those are permitted.

Hanging out poolside at the GCH Craftsman Bar is one of my favorite activities, whether I am staying at the hotel or simply stopping in for a meal while at the parks. They have an impressive variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options; they also have an extensive menu of delicious eats, including pizzas, salads, nachos, sandwiches, you name it! You will find me sipping a Prickly Pear Rose paired with the Double-baked Nachos or Avocado Toast (or both!) The GCH Craftsman Grill is just a few steps away for other tasty dine-in or grab-n-go options.

    Happy swimming and munching!
