Is the internet pkg on the cruise ship per person . Or for the family ?

Ahoy, Dave! I am so glad to welcome you to planDisney. It won't be long before you cross the threshold and hear that magical "Welcome Aboard!"

My first Disney Cruise Line vacation was inspired by the need to get away where no one from work could find me. It was the perfect solution to escape the daily demands. Once on board, the only tough decisions were what I wanted for dessert each night (and being offered both if I was torn between two). It was the break I needed. The most magical ships!

I've also come to appreciate staying connected while at sea. It means I don't have to wait until my calendar is completely clear to go on an adventure beyond the reef.

Disney Cruise Line has a lot of flexibility with the packages offered for connectivity. The internet package is a great option for accessing the web and email, using FaceTime or WhatsApp, and posting photos on social media to share your experiences with friends. If you want to watch videos, you can select an "Internet + Streaming" plan. This is the one my kids would love us to get, but our cruises are a break from work for me and YouTube for them.

You can also choose the length of the plan (by the day or the length of the cruise) and the number of concurrent users. I like to have the service just to stay connected and accessible if needed, and we always get a package for one user. With one concurrent user, I can log in as long as my husband logs out. We both can access it, just not at the same time.

To add an internet package, open the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are on board and connected to DCL Wi-Fi (Disney Cruise Line's Wi-Fi system). Select the “Connect to Internet” tile, and follow the prompts on the web pages to select the plan and options you want to purchase.

While on board and connected to DCL Wi-Fi, you can stay connected with others on the ship through the Navigator app. You can share your chat code and send messages without a separate internet package. This is available to all Guests as part of the cruise. We have also found iMessages to work with our iPhone devices to text without needing an internet package.

Dave, I hope this information helps you plan to keep in touch with people on shore while you are aboard the most magical ship at sea. Let us know if you have any other questions before you set sail. At planDisney, we're all aboard to help!

    SEAS the Adventure!
