Welcome aboard planDisney! While a Disney cruise can feel like stepping into your own version of Finding Nemo, where you just keep swimming from one amazing activity to the next, sometimes staying connected is part of the plan, so let’s dive right into those internet options.
The short answer to your question is the internet packages are not currently available for pre-purchase. It is a great idea and maybe this option will be added in the future! Once you are at the cruise terminal and connected to the ship’s complimentary Wi-Fi, you can jump into your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to purchase an internet package while you wait for your boarding group to be called.
There are currently
two internet packages available across all of Disney’s ships (prices subject to change):
• Internet Package ($26 per day) – This package includes access to the internet, social media, texting, Zoom and Wi-Fi calling, but excludes music and video streaming apps.
• Internet + Streaming Package ($42 per day) – This package includes the internet package plus access to longform video streaming apps like Disney+, Hulu, and more, as well as music streaming.
If you purchase a package for the entire voyage within the first 24 hours, there is typically a discount of up to 20% off. Additionally, if you purchase a package for multiple devices, there may be a discount available. My crew and I will usually just purchase a package for one device and then whoever needs access will log in. You just cannot have more than one device using it at one time or the system will ask you to purchase additional devices or disconnect another device. To do this, everyone shares the same login information.
One more helpful tip from my sailings: the Navigator app itself works
without purchasing an internet package. You can still message your travel party, check daily activities, and keep track of all the onboard fun without using any data. It is like having your own personal wayfinder guiding you through everything happening onboard, no extra cost required. As an added bonus, iMessages and WhatsApp (no pictures or videos) can also be used using the complimentary Wi-Fi.
