Ahoy, Val!
Welcome to planDisney! We recently sailed on the
Disney Dream, and I came home with so many magical memories. I'm sure you're looking forward to your upcoming sailing and a wonderful vacation at sea!
Val, all Guests can
use the "DCL-GUEST" Wi-Fi at no additional charge to access your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. This handy Mouseketool will keep you up-to-date with the latest activities, character greetings, dining information, and much more! You can also access an onboard chat feature to connect with others in your party from within the app. We kept our phones on "Airplane Mode" and on this complimentary Wi-Fi setting throughout the sailing to avoid any charges from our carrier or Disney Cruise Line. In addition to accessing the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, we were able to use iMessage and WhatsApp (text only on both platforms) to stay connected with each other and those back home.
If you would like additional connectivity at sea,
Internet packages are available for purchase. You can view package options and pricing from within the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you have boarded the ship. These packages can provide options to connect to social media, send email, browse the Internet, and even stream content.
Before I leave, I'd love to offer one of my favorite tips for embarkation day. While many Guests opt to head straight for the pool deck and buffet lunch, my family enjoys a relaxing, sit-down meal to start our cruise. You can check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to find which restaurant is offering lunch service that day once onboard!
