Welcome back to planDisney, Christie! It’s almost time to close your luggage and affix the Disney Cruise Line luggage tags to the handle.
Once you are onboard, open the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You will see "Connect to the Internet". Once you click on this, your internet browser will open on your phone, and then you can purchase the internet package that is right for you. You will be able to select internet for one day or the duration of your sailing, and for one device or multiple devices. You will be asked to select a username and PIN code; make sure to remember that for when you log into the internet on your laptop.
There are two internet packages available for purchase:
- Internet includes access to the internet, social media including short-form videos, texting, and Wi-Fi calling, but excludes music streaming and long-form video, such as YouTube and other streaming websites and apps.
- Internet + Streaming includes the internet package plus access to long-form video streaming sites like YouTube and apps, as well as music streaming.
The internet relies on satellite connectivity at sea, so service interruptions may occur. If you choose one device, you can switch your purchased internet service from your laptop to your cell phone. You do not need to purchase internet to use the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, WhatsApp, and iMessage (if you have an Apple device). You can access those using the complimentary
DCL-GUEST wireless network.
I hope this helps you get ready for your magical vacation, Christie. If you have any other questions, sail back to
planDisney.
Bon Voyage!
