Is there internet access on board the Disney Magic and if yes where?...in the staterooms...on deck? etc. Sailing on the Magic on Aug 28 for 11 night mediterranean with my daughter. My husband will go nuts if he can't communicate with us.

    Hi Sandra,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  You'll be setting sail before you know it, and rest assured you'll have internet access to keep you connected to your family back home.

If you have a wireless-ready laptop you will have access to several "hot spots" throughout the ship including most public areas, staterooms and the open areas on Decks 9 and 10.  I found the service to be pretty good considering we were out of land-sight - but the signal is from satellite, so it can be slow due to capacity, weather etc.  I suggest typing out emails before logging on, and then pasting them into your email document once you're connected.  This will save your valuable minutes!

Currently the wireless pricing plans are as follows:
    Plan 1:    50 Minutes for $27.50
    Plan 2:    100 Minutes for $40
    Plan 3:    250 Minutes for $75
    Pay Per Minute:  $0.75

You can upgrade the packages at any time by following the prompts on the log-in screen.

If you do not have a wireless-ready laptop, you can purchase the above plans for use in the Internet Cafe' on deck 3, aft.

Hope this helps, have a wonderful voyage!
